Thought To Ponder

It is easy to be conspicuously compassionate if others are being forced to pay the cost.
Murray N. Rothbard

Dr. Yandle presentation postponed to February 2013
22 October 2012
The Nassau Institute

We regret to advise that Dr. Yandle has had an unforeseen circumstance arise and he cannot join us this coming Thursday (October 25, 2012).

He told us via e-mail that:

"I am simply devastated by this.  You and your wonderful colleagues have gone to untold trouble to organize this week's meeting."

"Dot (Mrs. Yandle) is away making preparation for our departure and does not know about this development."

"She will be horrified."

"I can only say that I am deeply, deeply disappointed."

"I send my profound apologies and ask that you convey them to all our special Nassau Institute friends."

However, we are making plans to have him out in either January or February 2013, and we hope you will come to see him then.

Don't forget we have one more seminar this year on Thursday, November 29, 2012 when Mr. Lawrence Reed, President of the Foundation for Economic Education, will speak on "Free Trade vs. Protectionism" – "the case for free trade from basic, free market principles and incorporates responses to protectionist arguments."

More details will be forthcoming in the next few days.
