ORG Petitions Minister Responsible for Freedom of Information Bill

On Friday, September 9, 2016, The Organisation for Responsible Governance, petitioned Mr. Jerome Fitzgerald (PLP), Minister of Education, Science and Technology to meet and discuss the draft Freedom of Information Bill.

The letter has asked to meet with Mr. Fitzgerald “to discuss the Draft Bill and the process of tabling, passing and enacting the Bill” that is expected to be tabled in the House of Assembly during October 2016.

This Bill is far too important to pass into law without the substantive feedback and proposed amendments from the organizations that ORG Bahamas represents.

ORG Bahamas is made up of the following organisations:
Organization for Responsible Governance, Citizens for a Better Bahamas, The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employer’s Confederation, We The People, The Abaco Chamber of Commerce, Save The Bays, The Nassau Institute, reEarth, The Bahamas Federation of Retailers, Civil Society Bahamas and the HeadKnowles Foundation.
