“Because it is a monopoly, government brings inefficiency and stagnation to most things it runs; government agencies pursue the inflation of their budgets rather than the service of their customers; pressure groups form an unholy alliance with agencies to extract more money from taxpayers for their members.” Matt Ridley, Author, The Rational Optimist: How Prosperity Evolves
2016 is half over and we’re getting ready to kick into high gear and trust you are in a position to help us pull our planned events off.
Before we get into our plans for the remainder of the year we would like to point you to our You Tube Channel so you can enjoy Mr. Lawrence Reed of the Foundation for Economic Education in his lecture, Real Heroes, in support of our first Annual Joan Thompson Freedom Lecture earlier this year.
It was a fitting tribute to Mrs. Thompson and Mr. Reed is a superb lecturer. Watch the video here. https://www.youtube.com/user/TheNassauInstitute
We’re also excited to announce our lectures for the remaining months of 2016 and early 2017, focusing on entrepreneurship, as follows:

Economics in One Lesson |
Entrepreneurship creates economic growth should the many barriers to entry here fall away.
In addition to these presentations and the essay contest, we will help coordinate the World Economic Forum’s Executive Opinion Survey in early 2017. The results of this survey will be beneficial to the numerous reports about countries around the world, and will enhance the data for the Economic Freedom of the World Report for which we are partner.
As you can see, we have another busy year planned which will not be accomplished without the support of our community.
And without more opportunities for entrepreneurship Matt Ridley’s quote above bcomes the reality more and more each day.
Cheques should be payable to The Nassau Institute and mailed to P.O. Box N-36, Nassau N.P. Bahamas.
Won’t you please help us by sending your contribution today?
Sincerely
THE NASSAU INSTITUTE.,
Rick Lowe,
President.
