Dr. Ebeling was recently back in Nassau for his annual Economics of Liberty Lecture Series at College of The Bahamas and took time out for a wide ranging interview by Mr. McCartney at Star FM 106.5.
In the interview, Dr. Richard Ebeling discusses the negative consequences for the Bahamas from the recent introduction of a Value-Added Tax (VAT). He also questions whether the more populated areas of the Bahamas should have to subsidize the outer and smaller island infrastructure and other economic services provided to the residents of those less populated islands. And he, more generally, discusses the types of economic policies that would more effectively bring greater prosperity and freedom to the people of the Bahamas.
