Moore Library Lecture Hall, University of The Bahamas, Tuesday, March 19, 2019.
LECTURE SUMMARY Dr. Bylund will argue that the ‘new’ economy does not require a new economics. Specifically, he will explain how robotization, automation, and even artificial intelligence are not a threat to jobs or our wellbeing. He will show that new production technologies, including AI, instead promise to raise our standard of living and will mitigate harmful inequality.
